JOHANNESBURG – Business rescue practitioner Mahier Tayob has described the demands made by striking Rea Vaya workers as bizarre.
Workers want their thirteenth cheque to be paid in cash to avoid being taxed.

On Thursday, the Rea Vaya service was suspended as a result of the strike.
Tayob took over the reins last month after the company was placed under business rescue.
